My family had a long history with the sport, and one of my absolute favorite films is The Cutting Edge. I’m always thrilled to dive into a competitive skating-themed romance. In addition to the cute relationship, I also loved the side characters and their fleshed-out characters! I liked Henry’s kindhearted honesty and lack of filter! I especially loved the feeling of distance that wasn’t a real 3rd act of breakup, but a very real difference of viewpoint and inability to come to terms with it until they worked through it separately. Additionally, the cover art is gorgeous! Looking at it would make me buy the book without even needing to read the blurb – kudos to whoever designed it, they nailed it! It will stay on your mind long after you’ve finished reading it, plus it’s a suitable choice to lift you out of any reading slump. If you just want a calm day with some drama then this book is ideal for you. I’d rate this at 100/10, it’s an absolute must-read. The author displays POC, disabilities, and different cultures in a respectful way. This book is incredibly cute!
